Gwen Stefani is reportedly set to snub the MTV Video Music Awards - because she wasn't allowed to perform. Despite being nominated for a string of trophies, sources claim the sexy singer is planning to boycott the Miami ceremony later this month because she wasn't asked to sing on the show. However, MTV bosses are still hoping Gwen will turn up to collect any awards she might win. A spokesperson told America's New York Daily News newspaper: "We love Gwen and we hope she will be able to join us, as we know her fans would love to see her on this big night - especially since she's heavily nominated." Gwen is nominated for an impressive six prizes - Video of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Choreography in A Video for 'Hollaback Girl', and Best Art Direction and Best Editing for 'What You Waiting For?'. However, the stunning singer will not be joining the scheduled performers, including Coldplay, Mariah Carey, Green Day, Shakira, Ludacris and Kanye West. The star-studded show will be hosted by P Diddy, who has now changed his name to Diddy, in Miami on August 28. Who really cares

I haven't been feeling Gwen Stefani since she left No Doubt. That damn "Blow Your Mind" song with Eve blew her mind and made her want to step away from her genre and bread and butter. I understand she was dating one of the guys in the band and that's what inspired songs like that but damn. I'm sure they had money, break up, go solo, find another band. Who couldn't do that after having a name for themselves? miss records like "Don't Speak" and "Just A Girl". Those were songs done while with no doubt though. She was talking about something in those songs. Plus they sounded good. Having a message and being musically tasteful are two things missing in "Hollaback girl" in my opinion.
I thought I was gonna end up hollering as in yelling "shutup singin that lame ass song" if I heard "I ain't no holla back girlllll" on more time. It seemed to fade away really fast just like most pop songs do.

I feel you I think that she meets these top notch producers and she lets them choose her image for her. That is the problem her image from then to now has changed

Yeah she's definitely been manipulated out of her own creative integrity in my opinion.

Never know. Drugs come easy with the money and associations with money and industry folks who dabble. It's as easy as (in a Jersey accent) "Come on g'head have a line. you're the man/woman!" If she's on something, that wouldn't suprise me either.
